Gemini XI was the ninth manned spaceflight mission of NASA's Project Gemini, which flew from September 12 to 15, 1966. It was the 17th manned American flight and was crewed by Charles Conrad and Richard Gordon, who performed the first-ever direct-ascent (first orbit) rendezvous with an Agena Target Vehicle. Conrad and Gordon also flew together on Apollo 12, during which Conrad became the 4th man to walk on the moon.
